Computer Science Superhero

Ivan Sutherland was and remains to be remembered as a renowned programming contributor and technological innovator. He not only created software at the forefront of graphic design, Sketchpad, but also played a crucial part in the development of the first virtual reality. Sutherland's expansive education at Carnegie Mellon, Caltech, and MIT allowed him to pursue these computational components. Even so, he earned the 1988 A.M. Turing Award for these various accolades. Too, Sutherland used his technological talents in the army as a 1st lieutenant electrical engineer.
